Baccalaureate Service Held For Lakeville's Senior Classes

Local Christian denominations joined together for the baccalaureate service on Wednesday night.

Local Christian denominations joined together for an evening of praise and worship at the baccalaureate service, held for both Lakeville North and South seniors, on Wednesday night at South's auditorium.

A baccalaureate service is a celebration which honors a graduating senior class from a college or high school. The event is often an inter-faith religious nature.

Historically, the service is held within a few days of the graduation and speakers selected tend to be community leaders, faculty members, students, or local religious leaders, and may be elected by the graduating class.
