Vikings Week 4 Performance and What We Whould Do to Turn Our Season Around
A brief recap of the Vikings week 4 performance and looking ahead at the rest of the season.
Just like all of my regular season blog posts I start out by telling you of a Vikings loss 22-17 to the KC Chiefs. We didn't blow a first half lead this time, but we still couldn't hold off the chiefs after Ryan Longwell did put us ahead briefly. Ryan Succop of the chiefs made 5 field goals including a 54 yarder in the 3rd. Matt Cassel also connected with Dwayne Bowe for abig touchdown torching Cedric Griffin. Donovan McNabb did lead another touchdown drive to bring us within 5 which ended with a short td pass to Micheal Jenkins.
The game was completly back and forth and McNabb dashed our last hopes with 4 incompletions on what looked like a rather promising drive. So what can the Vikings do to get our first win? The answer is simple, pound the rock with Adrian Peterson. It seems that we never call on AP on 3rd and anything more than 3. Ap has the capability to get 10 or more yards every time he touches the ball and when we pass so much on 3rd down we may be able to pick up 6 or 7 yards with a draw play. Also more wildcat with Joe Webb to keep the defense honest and more time of possession to let our defense rest.
If we do these things against the Cardinals this weekend we should win especially at home with the atmoshpere to aide the defense. After losing to what many think was the worst team in the league the first three weeks we may see some changes soon without a win this week.
