Construction will occur throughout the winter. The store is scheduled to open in late summer or early fall of 2012.
The senior housing project at Hosanna! follows a similar timeline. Construction began approximately a month and a half ago and is scheduled to continue through August of next year.
The housing facility will likely open in September.
“The city, I think, sees it as part of the overall matrix of housing that we’ve planned for,” said Frank Dempsey, associate planner for Lakeville. “There’s housing opportunity for all age levels and housing needs.”
The development received unanimous approval from the Lakeville Planning Commission and City the Council. Currently, the project has been granted foundation permits, allowing construction work on the foundation and underground parking.
The city has not yet issued a ground permit, but wall construction will begin in the coming weeks.
“We’re excited to be opening up this next fall,” said Kyal Klawitter, a project manager with Walker & Associates, who is managing the development. “It’s going to be a great facility for seniors.”
