Dumb Criminal: 100 MPH on I-35 Excuse: Going to Hospital for No Reason

Driver with no license said he was going 100 MPH on I-35 to get to his passenger to hospital in Minneapolis. They were traveling south.

Adam Stier was on patrol late one night this week when he clocked a vehicle on his squad radar going 100 MPH on I-35 near the intersection of 195th Street.

Officer Stier stopped the vehicle and found that the driver had a revoked driver’s license and there was no insurance on the car. The driver told Officer Stier that he was taking one of his passengers to Minneapolis to go to the hospital. Officer Stier asked the passenger if he needed medical attention and the passenger said that he did not.

The driver’s story did not really check out as the speeding vehicle was heading southbound on the interstate (away from Minneapolis), when Officer Stier stopped it.
