
Celebrate along with people representing all corners of the world at the International Festival of Burnsville. The free event, set for Saturday, June 18 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Nicollet Commons Park in Burnsville, is expected to showcase a variety of entertainment, food and festivities for all to enjoy.
The festival will feature a wide variety of musical and dance performances:
- Chicks-on-Sticks (stilt-walkers)
- Cyril Paul and the Calypso Monarchs (Calypso/Reggae/Caribbean)
- Sahar School of Dance (Middle Eastern Dance)
- Universal Dance Destiny (West African)
- Zorongo Flamenco (Spanish Flamenco)
- Alpensterne (German)
- Circus Manduhai (Mongolian)
- School of India Dance
- Rince Na Chroi (Irish Step Dance)
- Minnesota Sunshine (Hmong Dance)
- Son del Sur Folk Ensemble/Nicholas Carter (Latin American Traditional and Contemporary Music)
Event sponsors include Comcast, Ames Construction, Frontier Communications, McDonalds, Lakeville Comfort Inn, Xcel Energy, Dakota Electric, Cornerstone Copy Center and Cub Foods. Grant funding is provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board and Minnesota Regional Arts Council.

Nicollet Commons Park is located at 12600 Nicollet Avenue, south of Hwy. 13. Free parking is available in the Burnsville Performing Arts Center parking ramp and the Heart of the City Park and Ride ramp located off of 126th Street.
