The Planning Commission advises the City Council on issues involving the establishment of and compliance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the zoning, subdivision, and sign ordinances. The Commission also reviews residential, commercial, and industrial development proposals and makes recommendations to the City Council according to the goals and objectives of the comprehensive plan and requirements of the zoning, subdivision, and sign ordinances.
The Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. Planning Commission meetings are televised on Government Channel 16 and are also available for online viewing.
