(UPDATED) Lakeville City, Education Leaders to Conduct Meetings Today

The City Council will have a 5:30 p.m. work session and 7 o'clock regular meeting. The Board of Education will conduct a 5 p.m. special meeting to discuss visioning.

Lakeville’s city and education leaders get back to work today after the three-day holiday weekend.

Both the City Council and the Board of Education have public meetings planned for today.

Because city government offices were closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. observance on Monday, the council shifted its regular meeting from Monday to Tuesday. The school board typically meets on Tuesday.

CITY COUNCIL

The council has a work session scheduled at 5:30 p.m. at the city’s water treatment facility, 18400 Ipava Ave., Then at 7 o’clock, it will conduct its regular meeting at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Ave.

Among the agenda items for the regular meeting include:

• Monthly reports for the Police and Parks and Recreation deparments.

• Consent agenda, including the renewal of tree work licenses, acceptance of donations to the Heritage Center, audit engagement agreement, performance agreements for the Lakeville Area Arts Center, resolutions to seek assistance from the Minnesota Department of Transportation for road and bridge improvements, and acceptance of street and public utilities improvements.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

Because the school board typically conducts its regular meetings the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, today’s 5 p.m. meeting is considered a special meeting. “Visioning” is the only topic on the agenda.

Today’s meeting will be conducted at the district office, 8670 210th St. W.
