Lakeville Fire Department Suggests Good 'House Warming Gifts' for College Students

Lakeville Fire responded to one carbon monoxide incident the week of August 21 to 28.

Many students are preparing to leave for college. A good “house warming gift” may include a smoke or carbon monoxide detector or even a fire extinguisher. Parents, please check your student’s living situation to see if any of these items are needed. It could save a life.

September 2011 in Minnesota has been proclaimed by Governor Mark Dayton to be Campus Fire Safety Month. Let's kick off another school year with a firm commitment to keep our kids fire safe.
