Lakeville Fire Department Urges Folks Sign Up For Night to Unite
That Lakeville Fire Department handled 20 calls the week of July 23-29.
neighborhoods are invited to join cities throughout Minnesota on Tuesday, Aug. 7, for Minnesota's Night to Unite (formerly celebrated as National Night Out).
Night to Unite encourages law enforcement and communities to strengthen neighborhoods by getting to know one another to keep communities safe and promote community partnerships. Night to Unite is not only a fun night out with your neighbors, the event also sends a message to criminals that you are standing up against them by forming an alliance with your neighbors and police.
Sign up to host a neighborhood Night to Unite block party and have a fire truck stop by. Registration deadline is Thursday, Aug. 3, and can be done on the city website at www.lakevillemn.gov.

From July 23 to July 29, 2012 the responded to 20 calls for service including: 1 cooking fire-contained, 1 passenger vehicle fire, 1 road freight vehicle fire, 1 brush fire, 2 medicals, 1 motor vehicle accident (with injuries), 1 smoke removal, 1 lightning strike (no fire), 1 service call to assist police, 1 smoke scare, 5 good intents and 4 false alarms.
