FIRE REPORT From Sept. 24 to Sept. 30, the Lakeville Fire Department responded to 11 calls for service including 1 vehicle fire, 1 grass fire, 2 medicals, 3 motor vehicle accidents (2 with injuries), 1 gas leak, 1 good intent and 2 false alarms.  LAKEVILLE FIRE PREVENTION OPEN HOUSE The Lakeville Fire Department is hosting an open house from 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Fire Station 4. The schedule of events includes: <ul> <li>6:15 p.m. Dakota County Special Operations Team demonstration</li> <li>7 p.m. Car extrication demonstration</li> <li>7:30 p.m. Car fire demonstration</li> </ul> Ths event also includes food for sale and free root beer. It's a great opportunity for kids to learn about fire safety, look inside an ambulance, sit in a police car, and spray water with a firefighter.
