Lakeville South Baseball Struck Down By Lightning
Cougars baseball team musters up just two hits—one being a Sather home run—in 5-1 loss at Eastview.
The Lakeville South baseball team mustered up just two hits—albeit one was a Luke Sather home run—in a 5-1 loss at South Suburban Conference rival Eastview on a sunny Wednesday afternoon in Apple Valley.
Sather gave the Cougars a brief 1-0 lead with his third-inning homer before the Lightning got to South starting pitcher Will Lundquist for their first run to tie the contest at 1-1 in the home half of the frame.
Eastview took the lead for good at 3-1 in the fifth inning as the Cougars were finding it very difficult to get themselves on the basepaths.

A double-play catch and throw-out from right field to first base ended the contest as the Cougars dropped to 4-7 overall and 3-8 in the South Suburban.
