Lakeville Squads Bookend The Weekend With Several Contests

The weather cooperated enough throughout the extended Easter weekend for several Lakeville North and South teams to finally get a slate of games in after a series of postponements midway through last week. 

North Softball: Panthers Fall To 4-3

The Lakeville North softball team dropped to 4-3 with a 5-2 loss to South Suburban Conference rival Prior Lake on Monday after topping Minnetonka, 11-5, last Thursday.

Maggie Olson leads the Panthers with a .550 batting average, while Erika Rozell's six runs batted in pace the squad; Jessica Meidl has the team's lone home run and a team-high six runs scored.

North is scheduled to play at Eagan on Tuesday and at Eastview on Wednesday, before hosting North St. Paul on Friday night at 7:15 p.m.

South Softball: Cougars Win Two Straight

The Lakeville South softball team won back-to-back games against Edina (10-0) and Rosemount (3-1) on Thursday and Monday to improve to 4-3 on the year.

Kendall Palfi's .421 batting average leads the Cougars, as does Lindsey Kamleiter's 10 RBI and six runs scored; Kamleiter and Molly Olson have each hit one home run apiece this spring.

South is slated to host Apple Valley on Tuesday before traveling to Burnsville on Wednesday to close out the week.

North Baseball: Panthers Even Record At 4-4

A 5-4 defeat of visiting Prior Lake on Monday evened the Lakeville North baseball team's record at 4-4 on the year.

Bret Piekarski leads the Panthers with a .455 batting average, while T.J. Evenson's eight RBI pace the club as do the nine runs that Tyler Brekke and Alex Hanneman have scored.

North is slated to play at Eastview on Wednesday night, then host Bloomington Kennedy on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.

South Baseball: Cougars Drop Second Of Season

The Lakeville South baseball team lost its second game of the season on Monday, 6-4, at Rosemount at Monday to fall to 4-2 this spring.

Individual statistics were not available. South is scheduled to host Apple Valley on Tuesday afternoon, travel to Burnsville on Wednesday and then return home to take on Eagan on Thursday.

North Girls Lacrosse: Panthers Drop To 2-2

The Lakeville North girls lacrosse team fell to 2-2 on the season after a 10-9 loss at Bloomington Kennedy last Thursday.

Hannah Koloski leads the Panthers with 12 goals, with Kacie Waagbo and Lauren Storhoff having tallied nine and seven scores respectively.

North is scheduled to host Apple Valley on Tuesday before heading on the road to play Eagan/Rosemount on Thursday.

South Girls Lacrosse: Cougars Lose First Game Of This Spring

The Lakeville South girls lacrosse team lost its first game of the spring in a 13-12 setback at Prior Lake on Thursday.

Abagail Ness leads the Cougars with six goals and six assists, with Abby Quinell and Kelly Gustafson notching five goals each.

South is scheduled to host Bloomington Kennedy on Tuesday and Apple Valley on Friday.

North and South Girls Golf: Cougars, Panthers Compete At Emerald Greens, Chaska Town Course

The Lakeville North and South girls golf teams competed at the South Suburban meet at Emerald Greens Golf Course last Thursday and an invitational competition at the Chaska Town Course on Monday. 

The Cougars placed second in the conference matchup with a score of 356, the Panthers were fourth with a 369. South then placed fifth at the Chaska Invite with a 372, while North took eighth at 383. Individual results were not available.

South Boys Track And Field: Cougars Tenth At Pony Classic Relays

The Lakeville South boys track and field team finished tenth at the Stillwater Pony Classic Relays last Thursday with a score of 105.5 points. Individual results were not available.

South Boys Tennis: Eastview 6, Cougars 1

The Lakeville South boys tennis team lost 6-1 to Eastview on Monday. Individual results were not available.
