Although Kyle mainly plays Wide Receiver he is also the backup quarterback for the Panthers. Today was the first time this fall camp we got to see him in that role and he really impressed hitting quite a few passes over the top including a touchdown to David Lindstrand in a 7 on 7 drill.
Offensive Struggles

The offense really struggled in team drills today and the 1st team offense only managed 1 first down on a 20 yard run by QB Drew Stewart. Head Coach and Defensive coordinator Vossen attributed the offensive struggles today to the max pressure the defense was sending. Coach Vossen added “we got to see Drew get a scramble for about 20 yards, which is going to be kind of a cool weapon that we will have.”
Injury report
Running Back Joey Larson was back at practice today after being held out yesterday. Thomas Tran was still out with an injury and the only surprise was Cal Pesola being held out of practice with a slight ankle injury.
