Man Charged for Indecent Exposure in Faribault May Be Tied to Other Incidents

A man has been charged with exposing himself to female joggers while in the backseat of a minivan in Faribault.

Faribault police have arrested and charged a male who may be responsible for several indecent exposure incidents that were reported in area during the summer of 2016. On Sunday, Faribault officers responded to the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue for a report of a male exposing himself to female joggers while in the backseat of his minivan.

The caller told police she jogged past the van, the male opened the sliding door and she observed his pants
around his ankles and he was masturbating. Patrol officers located the vehicle and the suspect driving a
short distance away.

The suspect, identified as Jose Elizandro Cordova-Garcia, 25, was interviewed regarding this case.

During the interview and follow-up with Jose, he was also determined to be the suspect from at least
three previous indecent exposure incidents from the summer of 2016, according to police.

Authorities say Cordova-Garcia brought investigators to the exact location witnesses reported seeing a naked male off a bike path near Gold Star Manufacturing.

Cordova-Garcia has been charged with Indecent Exposure related to Sunday’s incident. Additional
charges related to the earlier incidents are forthcoming, according to a news release.

"Faribault officers and detectives were tenacious about tracking this unknown suspect down and we are confident we have identified the person acting inappropriately along our bike paths and scaring residents with his disturbing behavior," Chief Andy Bohlen said in a statement.
