Park Ranger Jordan Klug was working at the Lake Marion Boat Landing in Lakeville late in the evening on the 4th of July when he observed a man having difficulty backing up his truck and trailer to retrieve his boat. A second man was at the helm of the boat attempting to maneuver it onto the trailer. Jordan asked the driver if he needed assistance and quickly realized his difficulty in backing up the unit was not due to inexperience, but was more alcohol-related. He requested assistance from the Lakeville Police Department and Officers Nick Stevens and Adam Stier arrived quickly at the scene. Jordan’s suspicions were confirmed and both men were taken into custody for DWI and BWI. Nice work to all.
