4-Year-Old Boy Dies After Going Missing, Found In Fridley Pond

The boy was discovered unresponsive in a Fridley pond early Tuesday afternoon.

FRIDLEY, MN — A 4-year-old boy died after his body was found in a pond in Fridley Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1:30 p.m., the Fridley Police Department responded to a report that a 4-year-old boy had left his home and went missing near the 1600 block of Rice Creek Road Northeast in the city.

Responding officers quickly found the boy in a nearby pond and pulled him from the water.

The Fridley Fire Department and Allina EMS arrived at the scene and provided life-saving measures. The boy was then transported to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased.
