TWIN CITIES, MN — Several Twin Cities schools had multiple students named 2026 National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners, according to a newly released list from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The organization announced the winners Wednesday. The 2,500 winners nationwide were chosen from more than 15,000 finalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The list is not meant to rank schools. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation cautions that comparing high schools based on the number of Merit Scholarship winners can lead to "erroneous and unsound conclusions."
