• Brand New Aspen Ridge Elementary 'Amplifies' Team Teaching Concept (ccxmedia.org) — Families in Maple Grove will see a major change this fall as Aspen Ridge Elementary opens in the city's fast-growing northwest corner, bringing a modern, light-filled building and an expanded team-teaching model. The new Osseo district school starts with about 500 K–5 students, features safety-focused "learning studios," a hardwood-floor gym built with the Osseo-Maple Grove Basketball Association, and room to more than double enrollment over time.
   

• Authorities ID woman found dead near Minneapolis park (bringmethenews.com) — Authorities have identified the woman found dead Saturday near East River Flats Park in Minneapolis as 56-year-old Karen Lynn Sognesand of Maple Grove. Investigators say she was already deceased when discovered in a wooded area, and her cause of death remains under investigation amid two other recent, unrelated body discoveries in the city.
   

• Cross Winds UMC to host 2026 Social Justice Fair (hometownsource.com) — A Maple Grove church is inviting residents to a free Social Justice Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 5:30–8 p.m. at Cross Winds United Methodist on Weaver Lake Road, including dinner. Guests can hear former Ramsey County election official Joe Mansky discuss election integrity and meet local civic and advocacy groups focused on justice and community engagement.
