• Maple Grove Hospital plans $500M expansion (finance-commerce.com) — Maple Grove Hospital is slated for a $500 million expansion that will nearly double its campus, boost capacity to 226 beds and 60 bassinets, and add 746 jobs in the city. Maple Grove is currently taking public comments on the environmental review through Oct. 29, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and continue while the hospital remains open.
• Things to do in Minnesota: 5 things to do this weekend (Oct. 3–4) (fox9.com) — Maple Grove families can head to Redeemer's free Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, with hayrides, games, inflatables, and cheap concessions at 9200 Elm Creek Blvd N. The roundup also spotlights other fall festivals and food truck events around Stillwater, Minneapolis, Chaska, and Blaine happening the same weekend, if you're up for a short drive.
• West Saint Paul Man Charged with First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct in Hennepin County (limitless-news.com) — A West Saint Paul man has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct for an alleged 2025 incident involving a minor in Maple Grove, according to Hennepin County court records. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison and substantial fines, though he remains presumed innocent while the case moves through the legal system.
