Bass Lake Road Traffic in Maple Grove Switches Wednesday

The traffic change includes the removal of two 90 degree bends near Lawndale Lane as well as some traffic delays Wednesday, Nov. 23.

 

Bass Lake Road traffic in Maple Grove will be switching to its new alignment west of Elm Creek Wednesday, Nov. 23.

This includes a "substantial shift" at the intersection of Lawndale Lane and Bass Lake Road as well as the removal of the two 90 degree bends east of Lawndale Lane, the city of Maple Grove said in an email news release to residents.

Traffic will be on new pavement from the west end of the project and through Lawndale Lane once it is complete and traffic will return to "old Bass Lake Road" at the creek.

The city is asking motorists to be aware of "significant construction activities" on Wednesday as crews work on the traffic shift. Crews will be working on placing new pavement markings, removing old pavement markings, adjusting the signal system and moving concrete barrier.

Motorists can expect the signal at Lawndale and to be flashing red most of the day, proceed with caution while driving the roadway and be prepared for some delays during the midday hours.
