Blaine Man Had 800 Grams Of Fentanyl: Feds

The illegal drugs were found after law enforcement executed a search warrant at the man's house, authorities said.

BLAINE, MN — A Blaine man has admitted to illegal drug possession, U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger announced.

Demarcus L. Washington, 35, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. A sentencing hearing has not been set.

On May 5, 2021, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Washington's home in Blaine, authorities said. There they found 1,000 grams of controlled substances, including 800 grams of fentanyl, according to investigators.

The case was jointly investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team, and the police departments of Roseville and Mounds View.
