First Annual Rogers Empty Bowls Event
Rogers Empty Bowls community event on April 25, 2013 - 4:00pm - 7:30pm CROWN ROOM at Wellstead of Rogers - Benefit for CROSS.
The first annual Rogers Empty Bowls event will be held on Thursday, April 25th from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Crown Room at Wellstead of Rogers, located at 22060 South Diamond Lake Road.
The Empty Bowls event serves as a reminder of hunger in our community. Each guest chooses a bowl and eats a small bowl of soup with bread. Guests then make donations depending on the bowls they choose. Each bowl is created by local artists and community members. The Empty Bowls event increases awareness about hunger issues and community service and helps raise funds for CROSS Food Shelf, which serves the communities of Maple Grove, Osseo, Rogers, Corcoran, West Champlin, and Dayton.
CROSS provides food, clothing, seasonal children’s programs, limited financial assistance and Meals on Wheels to families living in the communities of Maple Grove, Osseo, west Champlin, Rogers, Dayton and Corcoran.
