Celebrate Recovery in Maple Grove

Good news! You can start Celebrate Recovery, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church at ANY point in the year. God tells us in Jeremiah 6:14, "You can't heal a wound by saying it's not there!" Step out of denial and into God's unconditional love and grace. Your life will be forever changed!

What is Celebrate Recovery?
Starting in 1991, Pastor John Baker of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them hope through the loving power of Jesus Christ. It is a recovery process that consists of the 12 steps based on Christian principles, namely, the Beatitudes of Jesus. Since that first meeting, Celebrate Recovery has grown exponentially worldwide.  

At present, 49 churches in Minnesota, encompassing all denominations, sponsor a Celebrate Recovery program. Adopting this model takes Lord of Life's recovery ministry to another level consistent with the caring community and outreach ends policies and the 2020 Vision. It also fits with our overall congregational theme LIVEChrist because:

*    Worship is a major strength of Celebrate Recovery,
*    Celebrate Recovery is based on God's Word,
*    Celebrate Recovery emphasizes personal responsibility in the growth process, and
*    Celebrate Recovery emphasizes spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery is open to all. You will be welcomed, safe, respected and supported. No registration is required and childcare is available.
