Wanted: A very special kind of person:

Allina Health Hospice seeks volunteers to support caregivers and patients as they approach the end of life and is offering a training class to those who complete the volunteer application process.

This intensive 10 hour training includes an introduction to the core concepts of hospice including its history and philosophy, ethical and privacy considerations, definitions of team roles and eligibility, communication techniques and bereavement and grief explorations.

If you are interested, the first step is to fill out the online application. You will then undergo an interview that includes a background and reference check, as well as making sure you are up-to-date with immunizations.
