Brief: Hennepin County Drop-off Facility Changes

Trash will no longer be accepted at the Brooklyn Park facility.

Hennepin County will no longer accept trash from residents at their Brooklyn Park Drop-off Facility, located on 8100 Jefferson Highway near the Maple Grove border, beginning in 2012.

The space that is currently used for residential drop-off will instead be leased to Minnesota-based Rational Energies for a new project that will separate metals and plastics out of the trash for recycling.
