Brief: Jan. 3 Maple Grove City Council Meeting Canceled

The regularly scheduled City Council meeting for Monday, Jan. 3, 2012 was canceled by the City Council at its Dec. 19 meeting.

The cancellation, according to a memo to the Council, said "in addition to city offices being closed on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 for the New Year's holiday, it is expected there will not be enough items requiring the City Council's attention to warrant holding a Council meeting this early in the year."

The first official Maple Grove City Council meeting of 2012 will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Monday, Jan. 16.
