Brief: Skijoring Basics at Eagle Lake Regional Park

Learn the sport of skijoring, a winter activity where a person wearing Nordic skis is drawn over snow by a dog.

 

The Three Rivers Park District is offering a basic introduction to skijoring, a winter sport where a dog drawns a person wearing Nordic skis over the snow.

The introductory lesson is Saturday, Jan. 14, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at in Maple Grove.  In this class for beginners, you will learn the basics you need to skijor and how to train your dog with a Skijor Now instructor. Gear provided. Dog and skis are required.

Cost is $20 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #125711-01 for the first session or #125711-02 for the second session. This program is for ages 16 and older.
