Maple Grove Based TopLine Federal Credit Union CEO to Retire
TopLine Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Smith will succeed Harry Carter.

After 14 years, Maple Grove-based TopLine Federal Credit Union President and CEO Harry Carter will be retiring at the end of 2013.
He joined TopLine as CEO in 1999.
“It’s been my privilege to be part of a great organization and to work with an outstanding team of fellow employees who provide outstanding service to our member-owners every day,” Carter said.

Tom Smith, TopLine Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, was named as the Carter's successor by the board of directors. Smith has been with TopLine since 2008 when he joined the credit union as Vice President and Chief Lending Officer.
“Our board is confident that Tom has not only the executive experience, but very importantly the credit union values and the passion for our employees’ and our members’ success that describe the best leaders in our industry, and we’re very pleased to be able to look forward to Tom’s service as our next CEO," TopLine’s Board Chairman Jim Kaster said.

In addition to servicing at TopLine's President and CEO, Carter has also served as Chair of the MN Credit Union Network Board of Directors, and also active in the community, having served as Chair of the North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as well as serving on several other boards and organizations in the communities TopLine serves.
