Daycare, 6 Houses Targeted By Vandals In Champlin: Police

Authorities in the north Twin Cities metro are looking for suspects after "widespread vandalism" was discovered in Champlin.

CHAMPLIN, MN — The Champlin Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying suspects involved in what they call "widespread vandalism" that occurred over the weekend of April 22 and 23.

Suspects spray-painted and tagged six houses, Little Newtons Daycare, multiple locations in Josephine Nunn Park, various public signs, the Champlin-Anoka Bridge, the new dam/spillway between the millpond and the Mississippi River, and the Father Hennepin Monument, near Mississippi Point Park, according to authorities.

The Champlin Crime Prevention Fund is offering a reward for the identification and successful prosecution of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked by police to contact Investigator Andy Jaye at (763) 421-2971.
