FEMA Deadline for Maple Grove Storm Victims Extended
A disaster recovery center is opening for the public Thursday, Dec. 15.

Maple Grove residents who experienced damage to their property as a result of the heavy rains and flooding on Sept. 21 are encouraged to register with FEMA. The date to register has been extended to January 30, 2017, according to city officials.

A disaster recovery center is opening for the public Thursday, Dec. 15. The center will be at the former Brooklyn Park Library at 8600 Zane Ave N. Residents can apply for individual assistance to help them recover from damages acquired during the September flooding in Hennepin County.

If you have already applied by phone or online, you do not need to go to the physical location to apply, according to city officials.
Hours open:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The center will be closes the following dates: Dec. 24, 25, 31, 2016 and Jan. 1, 2017.
Last day to apply is: January 30, 2017.
Individuals should bring the following with them:
- Social Security Number
- Address of damaged home or apartment
- Description of damage (pictures if you have them)
- Information about insurance coverage
- Telephone number
- Mailing address
- Bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit of funds
