Since their inception in 2010, The Hell Country Truckers have been exploring the evolution of traditional country music and fine tuning their interpretation of an authentic sound. Although largely influenced by honky-tonk legends like Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, this young, energetic, and talented group of musicians offer a modern update of classic country music. With twangin’ guitars, infectious rhythms, and lyrics that range from playful to heartfelt, the band’s debut album, “Drinkin’ & Women” offers true country music fans a unique and genuine experience.
The Hell Country Truckers have toured the midwest playing alongside current stars such as the Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley. They have also warmed up crowds for classic country proponents like Dwight Yoakam and Dale Watson. Their first single, “My Girlfriend’s a Dancer”, has experienced local radio play and has also gained national and international exposure on satellite radio stations such as Renegade Radio out of Nashville and 2country.net based out of the UK.
Musically, “Drinkin’ & Women” is impressively polished for a debut effort. It offers clever songs about finding, losing, and hanging on to love, as well as methods of coping when its gone. It is comical at times, and sentimental at others, but throughout the entire album, it is clear that the Hell Country Truckers are dedicated to providing a genuine and unique country music experience.
