Hennepin County Library Top 25 Adult Book Titles of 2011

The Hennepin County Library system gives a list of the top 25 adult books checked out by patrons in 2011.

What are you reading? 

Chances are, if you’re an adult and check out books from Hennepin County Library, you love to read fiction – lots of it. Twenty-four of the top 25 adult titles checked out so far in 2011 are fiction. The one non-fiction title: “Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption,” a biography of Lt. Louis Zamperini.

The top circulating (checked out) adult book so far this year?  The novel, “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett. Crime and mystery fiction are the clear favorites among Hennepin County adult readers. Stieg Larsson’s trilogy (“The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” “The Girl Who Played With Fire,” and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest”) make up three of the top 25 adult circulating titles.
