Inspired Maple Grove Kids Work for Peace
Two young Maple Grove residents inspired to make a better world began a Kids for Peace chapter in the Maple Grove area.
Maple Grove resident Suzie Iverson-Rivers said her daughters, Teagan, 8, and Mikhala, 9, were motivated to make the world a more peaceful place.
"My daughter Teagan was really bothered by all the things in the news," Iverson-Rivers said.

Iverson-Rivers and her daughters decided to start a Kids for Peace chapter in the Maple Grove and Osseo area. It is the first Kids for Peace chapter in Minnesota.
On Aug. 20, the Maple Grove-Osseo Kids for Peace chapter held its first meeting. Later that day, the kids delivered cookies, cards and flowers to the Osseo Police Department to thank them for their service.

Thanking the police was one of the Kids for Peace member’s ideas.
