Interstate 494 to Close in Maple Grove this Weekend
A section of Interstate 494 will be closed this weekend while crews paint the bridges and continue work on the highway.
Maple Grove residents will need to plan ahead for travels this weekend. Beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, southbound Interstate 494 from Interstate 694/Interstate 94 in Maple Grove to Interstate 394 in Wayzata will be closed while crews paint bridges and continue work on the highway.
All ramps to and from southbound I-494 along this route will be closed. Traffic will be detoured around the closure via Highway 169. The highway and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, according to a news release.
In addition, northbound I-494 from Highway 55 to Interstate 394 will be reduced to one lane.
