Interstate 94 to Close in Maple Grove this Weekend

Maple Grove residents may see an increase in travel times this weekend. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is closing both directions of Interstate 94 Friday night through Monday morning.

10 p.m. Fri, Jan. 20 through 5 a.m. Mon, Jan. 23

• Both directions of I-94 will close to through traffic between I-494 and the new interchange of Hwy 610 and I-94 in Maple Grove for demolition of the old 101st Ave. N bridge over I-94.

Westbound I-94 through traffic is encouraged to use the posted detour to avoid delays between I-494 and Hwy 610

• WB I-94 Detour: North on Hwy 169 and west on Hwy 610. Local traffic will be able to access I-494, Hemlock Lane (Co Rd 61), Weaver lake Rd and Maple Grove Pkwy.

Maple Grove Pkwy traffic will be unable to travel west on I-94.

• EB I-94 Detour: East on Hwy 610 and south on Hwy 169
