Keep the Lights On

What does someone actually mean when they say they are healthy? Maybe they mean they are not expressing symptoms or that they simply feel fine. Either way, we often take our health for granted.

Let’s compare health to a light bulb. You probably never think twice about walking into a dark room and flipping on a switch to make it light. Likewise, you probably never think about how your digestive system is working or how your liver is functioning. When we walk into a room and flip a switch, we just expect the light to illuminate; just like we expect our body to function properly without even thinking about what is actually taking place inside.

Our body relies on a complicated system of intelligence and nerve fibers so that we are able to function properly, just like a light switch relies on a power source and a network of wiring.

When wires in an electrical system of a light bulb have interference then the light may not turn on, could be dim, or flicker. We always wait until the lights go out and we can’t see before we even think about light. The same goes for our body. When our network of nerve fibers have interference on our spinal column from vertebral subluxation, our body’s light begins to flicker and because it hasn't completely given out we often choose not to do anything about it. Health is not about not being sick or in pain; health is about function and keeping the lights working all the time.
