Maple Grove Athlete Joins Florida Tech’s First Lacrosse Team
Maple Grove Senior High alumnus TJ Peplinski makes Florida Tech's 2012 lacrosse roster.

Florida Tech recently announced its lineup for first ever lacrosse team, among those making the team is alumnus and Maple Grove native TJ Peplinski. He is the only Minnesota athlete to make the 2011-12 Men's Lacrosse roster.
“I couldn’t ask for a better first-year class to build a program on,” Florida Tech Head Coach Ryan McAleavey said in a press release. “They’re a very hardworking, no non-sense group. They want to succeed, they want to do well, they want to make a name for themselves. One factor that outweighs their athletic ability is they’re great kids – yes-sir, no-sir type of kids.”
Peplinski, the son of Scott and Tanya Peplinski, is a freshman at Florida Tech. According to the school, he helped bring the men’s soccer team post a second-place finish in the Sunshine State Conference last fall. While at Maple Grove Senior High, he was named to the Minnesota all-state soccer team in 2010.
