Maple Grove Athletes Compete At State Track Meet
The Crimson's Dan Butorac finished fifth in the high jump, while Olivia Evanson took sixth in the triple jump
The boys and girls track teams had individuals participating in the Class AA state meet on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11 at Hamline University in St. Paul.
The Crimson’s girls squad featured two seniors competing at state. Senior Olivia Evanson picked up the team’s best finish with a 35-foot, 10.25-inch leap in the girls triple jump.
Senior Victoria Vinokur finished ninth in the discus throw with a toss of 117 feet, 5 inches. She also finished 10th overall in the girls shot put with a finals toss of 36 feet, 1 inch.

On the boys side, junior Dan Butorac had the Crimson’s best overall finish. He finished fifth in the boys high jump with a 6-foot, 4-inch showing.
Senior Emmanuel Dixon finished 17th overall in the 200 meter dash with a 23.43 performance at Hamline.
