Maple Grove Bike Riders Compete in Chequamegon 40
A total of 17 local cyclists took part in the Chequamegon 40 race Sept. 17-18.
Seventeen Maple Grove bike enthusiasts were among more than 2,000 participants that rode 40 miles in the annual Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival held over the weekend in Wisconsin.
Ed Alpasa was the top Maple Grove finisher, taking 103rd place in the Chequamegon 40, a 40-mile race that takes riders on wooded trails from Hayward to Cable, WI. Alpasa's time was 02:26:05.1.
