Maple Grove City Council Establishes Weaver Lake Road Rehab Project
A feasibility report was also ordered for the proposed road improvement project.

A recommendation replace or rehabilitate a portion of Weaver Lake Road led to the Maple Grove City Council to establish the Weaver Lake Road rehabilitation project and order a feasibility report at its Monday, Dec. 5 meeting.
“Due to the deteriorating pavement conditions on Weaver Lake Road and the increasing cost to maintain this roadway, staff is recommending a full pavement replacement, or rehabilitation, on this major roadway from the west side of the intersection of Weaver Lake Road and West Fish Lake Road and the concrete bridge deck over Interstate 94,” Maple Grove Traffic Engineer Marc Culver said in a memo to the council.
If the City Council decides to accept the feasibility report, plans and award a contract, the project could possibly start in June 2012.

“Work on this project would likely occur in the early summer of 2012 and will be confined to night time operations due to the heavy volumes of traffic on this stretch of roadway,” Culver said in the memo.
Funds for the project would be from municipal state aid funds.
