Maple Grove Parents Can Relate to Wetterling Family
Amy Pagnac, of Maple Grove, was born on June 15, 1976 and went missing Aug. 5, 1989.

Many Minnesotans feel in some way connected to the family of Jacob Wetterling, but few can understand exactly the pain their family has gone through in the last 27 years.
One Maple Grove family can.
FOX 9 reported that Amy Sue Pagnac’s mother, Susan Pagnac, of Maple Grove, recalls the day her 13 year old daughter went missing two months prior to Wetterling.

"He's always depressed just before and after."
Pagnac has supported Patty Wetterling in her search for her son. She felt heartache after Jacob's remains were found earlier this month, after 27 years.
"We feel the pain all the time equally, not as bad as the actual family member feels when they get this bad news, but we understand, and we fear that day may come for us. we fear it," she said.
After hearing criticism of Danny Heinrich's plea deal, Pagnac said she believes the Wetterlings made the right decision.
With the hope that their daughter will one day return, Amy's parents continue to live in the same Maple Grove house, with the same phone number.
"Until I have evidence that Amy is gone, I'm still expecting her to walk through that door," she said.
