Maple Grove Senior High Student Nominated for Minnesota State High School League Triple “A” Award

Jonathan Dill was nominated for his work in academics, athletics and the arts.

 

Maple Grove Senior High senior Jonathan Dill has recently been nominated for the Minnesota State High School League Triple “A” Award.

The award recognizes and honors high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts. Jonathan will now advance to compete at the state level.

The top two award finishers from each region will be invited to the Minnesota State High School League Award Banquet where league officials will announce the four Triple “A” Award recipients. Award recipients—a girl and a boy from both a Class A and a Class AA school—will receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.

Jonathan maintains a 3.967 GPA while taking high performance physics and advanced placement calculus. He is the captain of the cross country team and has lettered twice in track. He is also captain of the wrestling team. A varsity-level wrestler since seventh grade, his wrestling tenure includes all-conference honors and eighth and 12th place finishes at state. Jonathan is a member of the National Honor Society and Link Crew. In addition, he has received excellent ratings for his performance in orchestra and wind ensemble. He also volunteers his time at Maple Grove Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.

Jonathan plans to study at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the fall where he plans to major in biology and become pre-med.
