We all have a favorite, a teacher who changed our lives with a word of encouragement or a kind word. For me, it was Ms. Grivna, my English teacher at . She suggested I enter a poem in a contest and encouraged me to explore the yearbook and newspaper during my high school career.  Of course, I can't forget Mr. Moberg - my sixth grade teacher at Edgewood Elementary. He drew cartoons and showed us how to do it as well - what kid wouldn't think that was cool? What's your story? Do you know of a great teacher you would like to recognize from the past or present? May 8 is <a href="http://www.nea.org/grants/1359.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">National Teacher Day</a>  and the week of May 7 to May 11, 2012 is Teacher Appreciation Week. We want to celebrate the teachers in your life.
