MAPLE GROVE, MN — A northwest metro gun range owned by Maple Grove is so popular, the city wants to spend millions to expand it. The North Metro Range is one of the leading firearm ranges in the Twin Cities. In addition to being open to the public, the range is frequently used by FBI agents, police officers, and other law enforcement agents.
The city of Maple Grove is looking to spend $8 million on expanding the range in order to keep up with demand, the Star Tribune reported.

Both handguns and rifles are allowed for range use. The facilities feature 12 indoor, 40 yard climate controlled lanes. The facility is open to the public Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. League and club shooting welcome any day with a minimum of two hours. This facility is also fully-equipped for customized law enforcement firearms training.
