Hennepin County Power Outage: Maple Plain, Medina, Independence

A number of cities in the Twin Cities west metro are without power Wednesday after a large transformer blew up.

HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — Residents in Maple Plain, Independence, and Medina are without power after a large transformer blew up, according to West Hennepin Public Safety. Xcel Energy crews began repairs Wednesday afternoon.

It is not yet known when the power will be restored.
