Maximizing Your Meds: Safe and Effective Medication Use

People living with lupus and other autoimmune diseases are invited to this free seminar with presenter Dr. Jennifer Chen at the MG Library.

When living with lupus and other autoimmune diseases, taking multiple medications correctly can be challenging. Learn what you need to know about medications and who to reach out to for assistance in this free seminar hosted by the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota.

Jennifer Chen, Pharm.D., will provide information about using medication wisely, including ways to minimize the risk of side effects and increase the effectiveness of commonly used medications related to lupus and other illnesses. In addition, Dr. Chen will discuss the expanding role of pharmacists in helping people understand their medication therapies.

Free, but pre-registration is required by Monday, February 22.

About the Presenter
Dr. Jennifer Chen is a teaching specialist for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at the University of Minnesota’s College of Pharmacy and director of their Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center. Also a clinical pharmacist at Community-University Health Care Center, she provides medication management services and precepts pharmacy residents. She has a passion for teaching people how to use medications safely and effectively, and finding individualized solutions for medication needs.
