Mayor Proclaims Minnesota Manufacturing Week in Maple Grove

Manufacturing provided 5,400 jobs in Maple Grove in 2015, according to the proclamation.

At the Oct. 3 City Council meeting, Mayor Mark Steffenson officially proclaimed this week, Oct. 2 through Oct. 8, as Minnesota Manufacturing Week in Maple Grove.

"The manufacturing industry is a dynamic segment of the city of Maple Grove and the state of Minnesota's economy and an integral part of the city and the state's economic development strategy," the proclamation read.

"Manufacturing provided 5,400 highly-skilled, high-paying jobs in Maple Grove in 2015, which was 16 percent of total employment in the community."

H & F Manufacturing, Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC, and Via Biomedical Inc. are among the manufacturer companies in Maple Grove.
