Minnesotan Wins $1.8 Million In State Lottery

BUFFALO, MN — No, it isn't quite the $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot, but one lucky Minnesota Lottery player won $1.8 million Wednesday. The player’s Gopher 5 ticket matched all five numbers drawn — 9-22-25-38-46 — to win the jackpot.

The $1.8 million jackpot is the third-highest in the game’s history, according to a news release.

A Holiday store in Buffalo will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning Gopher 5 ticket.

Another lucky person won $50,000 on Oct. 24 playing the Powerball, thanks to a ticket sold in Hastings. The ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball to win the prize.

The Hastings Holiday, located at 1500 Vermillion Street, sold the $50,000 winning ticket. The Oct. 24 winning Powerball numbers were 3-21-45-53-56 and the Powerball was 22.
