Moms RUN This Town - in full swing for SUMMER!

It felt like it would never end, but winter has finally left Minnesota. For MRTT, that means lots of activity! It has been an exciting past month, with members starting their racing seasons, more group runs, and we even ran a water stop at mile 8 of the Maple Grove Half Marathon. And have I mentioned that we are now up to over 350 members?! Participation at events typically ranges from 4 to 25+ (and will continue growing as the group grows). This summer, we are hoping to expand with more walking-only events in order to make beginners or walkers feel more comfortable.

Our schedule does vary a little bit, but here are some of the most regular group run opportunities we expect to offer throughout the summer.

Monday early mornings
Tuesday evenings
Wednesday early mornings
Thursday evenings
Saturday/Sunday mornings
Sunday evenings

Never heard of MRTT and wondering what it really means?  Moms RUN This Town is free and informal, with ladies of all experience levels from walkers to Boston Marathoners.  We all support each other in our goals, whether that is to walk 2 miles or to run 26.2! This is not a coached group, although there are always people willing to share experiences and make suggestions if you need it. We operate from a private, closed Facebook group where women can feel comfortable asking questions or finding running buddies. MRTT is a great resource for anything running-related, and is also a great place to make friends and be social. In addition to our group runs, we frequently have other events going on such as volunteering, meeting up for other activities like Yoga, and going out for coffee, happy hour, etc.

If you have additional questions, you can e-mail us at MRTTChamplinMG@yahoo.com.
