National Running Day

Wednesday, June 4th is National Running Day and Moms RUN This Town (MRTT)  wants to spread the word to local mamas and women about our incredible, FREE group. MRTT is national, with nearly 1,000 chapters nationwide and in Canada, Germany and Japan. There are several local locations including the Champlin/Maple Grove chapter, which currently has roughly 375 members.

We have many group walk/runs each week at varying times, plus members are welcome to initiate their own days or times if nothing on the schedule works for them. Some of our events are general walk/runs, others are focused on specific purposes (early morning weekend long runs, Wednesday evening hill workouts, etc).

In addition to our walk/runs, MRTT has several "sub-groups" for members only, and we hold various social events (like happy hour) as well - making this group quite unique and so much more than "just a running club".

Women of all abilities and levels are encouraged to join. We have lots of ladies who simply walk together, while others jog, walk/jog, or run. Best of all - everyone supports one another, regardless of goals. The member whose goal is to jog a mile for the first time is just as respected as the member whose goal is to qualify for Boston.

All of our events are scheduled within this group and requests are screened to help ensure no spammers or "creepers" get in. It's also a great, safe place to get opinions or advice on running related topics, get recommendations for races or running-related products/services, and so much more.

All you need to do to become a member is request to join our private, closed FB group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/champlinmaplegrove/
What have you got to lose by checking us out? We're fun and free, but the motivation and encouragement you will receive is priceless.
